bc it comes and goes. I have 3-4 weeks with no blood at all and then all of a sudden 2-3 days in a row with bright red blood.

Bright red means it's probably not internal bleeding. Sounds like hemorrhoids or a small tear being irritated by constipation to me, but I'm not a doctor.
Spend less time on the toilet and add more fiber to your diet. You should check up with a doctor as well, just in case.
