The income thinking here is short range. Starting earlier increases the chances of more live births which would increase the spending long term. It should also increase productivity which satisfies both the GDP model which uses consumption as a gauge and the model that uses productivity as a gauge. Also, since women live longer, on average, it isn't going to change much if they enter the work force 5-10 years later. I'd argue it might be better that they enter the work force at 30-35 and work continuously versus entering at 20-25 and dropping out for 5 to 10 years when they have a baby.
