Unlike the other asshat responding, there is an actual reason for monogamy, and the answer is women. Men weren't designed to be sexually monogamous, but women are. So what happens is, if you sleep around with a bunch of women, she's going to not be as attracted to you. If she sleeps around with a bunch of men, she won't pair-bond to you and she'll leave you for whoever is the best provider for that 2 year period.

None of this matters if you don't want to have kids or don't plan on getting married. I went MTGOW like 2 years ago and my life is awesome. I'll be retired in my 40s and have more pussy than I can literally handle. I'm 35.

You are going to get less capable and less sexy every single year until you die. The lifestyle of your 20s and 30s becomes ridiculous. Remember seeing that pathetic 50 year old man at the bar trying to hit on girls? You will start to want a family. One of the compensations of getting old is getting to see your kid experience things for the first time.

But, you realize you have an incredibly shrinking window in which to find someone who is a) still young enough to have kids and b) not deeply fucked up which is why most women are single without kids at that age. It takes a couple years to find that out. You have very limited rolls of the dice there. You can theoretically have kids later in life, IF you can find that incredibly shrinking pool of still-fertile women who are not fucking psychos, but if you manage to win that lottery congrats on being 70 at your kids' graduation.
