Ideally yes. Requiring clothes means you are inherently punished for extreme poverty.
The world is nit idealistic however. You have to take in the will of others into consideration. That and the fact that some people are nasty. No close gives rise to things that should remain unseen and hygiene concerns.

Look around, OP. Look at how many actually attractive people are around you in a general setting. You don't want to see that shit. And then imagine Vegas or Mississippi, just nothing but fatties and blobs. Nobody wants to see that.

Imagine a world where due to the exploding prison population, minor crimes have the potential to land you with a fixed term nudity sentence. It’s an open secret that judges only hand down these forced nudity punishments to at least somewhat attractive people.

Those unlucky enough to be selected must hand in any and all clothing to the relative authorities, to be returned once the sentence is carried out. Businesses and members of the public are forbidden from offering or selling any clothing or way of covering for those who are naked in public. They could even end up with a nude sentence themselves. Severe repercussions will be dealt out to any nude person caught covering themselves in any way.

After handing over their clothing, that’s it. They are naked for however long the courts deem necessary. One month, two years… however long. They must be naked everywhere. Their jobs, errands, travel. Naked. Everyone they know will see them nude. Even when the punishment is over, they will see it in the eyes of everyone who saw them during the sentence. Photos and videos will even be encouraged by the authorities. The most attractive will have the misfortune of being papped naked everywhere they go and shared online for the enjoyment of everyone.

Their humiliation will be a constant warning to people to behave or else. They will be pointed out as an example of why you should obey the law. There will be much less petty crime due to the fear of being one of those forced to go naked everywhere. Prison populations are reduced, the taxpayer is better off, and mostly attractive naked people will be a rare, though almost daily sight.

I obviously know not everyone you would want to see naked, but I’d imagine those types of people would choose not to. In all honesty, if I stand on a busy street and people watch. 30-40% I don’t want to see naked. 40% I don’t mind either way and 20% I would very much enjoy seeing naked. Assuming 70% of those who choose to go naked are from the latter categories, I’d happily make that trade.

She admitted to feeling ashamed of her body because her best friend had big tits and had a way of shaming people.
