All my life great endeavors were sold as the center of human existence- striving for greatness in a field, art, philosophy, fighting and standing for something, caring and trying. We studied these "great accomplishments of man" in school for 13 years before we were released to the world ffs.
Well mfw I turn 30 and am knocked with the realization that all that '"meaningful" shit only looks good on the youth and 20s. Society doesnt care to watch some 30+ dabbling in those areas. Then you start to see rapid signs of aging and your body becoming a husk of its original true self, and it becomes clear that all there is to do past this point is try to survive and maybe make a family or some shit.

In a greater cosmic sense, any notions of making important strides were really just a foolish attempt to stave off the truth of impending death, at which point all those endeavors and creations you thought were important will be made instantly meaningless.

Good on you for figuring that out. You can choose to end it now, or suffer for another 60 yrs. Your choice

True. I stopped feeling anything right around there too. It's just a mockery of our true predicament. It's all gonna be taken away, so why start

Of course, you can mimic the representation of something deep or great, but it won't feel important anymore like it did in your 20s.

Yes. Attachment, to whatever narratives we have constructed about ourself/future self, often begin to disintegrate at some point. Maybe a natural consequence of too few expectations having been met.

I think a more straight forward explanation is that those narratives, the things you were "sold" and your attachment to those things have simply exhausted their usefulness at some point.

Think of it as a simple evo-psychological process rather than something more. You're giving it far more thought than it deserves in your last paragraph.

What you mean is that you are frustrated that you're not allowed to have prime teen puss. No matter how good you become at anything, you won't be rewarded with young prime teen puss. It makes everything meaningless.

Hey there! I'm a 20-year-old girl living in the US, a little on the curvy side, and I've got a wild side that loves to take charge during those steamy chats. One of my favorite things is pushing the boundaries and seeing how far I can go with guys while having a blast! I'm always down for some fun, but I do struggle with a bit of anxiety, so meeting up in person can be tricky. That's why I'm all about those spicy conversations; they fit my vibe perfectly! If you're looking for some fun and excitement, add me on 4c h- a t with the username: lu n-ast i-vq (make sure to remove the spaces and dashes)! Can't wait to chat!

Hey there! I'm a 21-year-old girl from the States, a bit on the adventurous side, and I love taking charge in our late-night chats! I get a thrill from pushing your buttons and seeing how far we can go together. My vibe is totally flirty and fun, and I'm always ready to spice things up! I can be a little shy in person, so this is way more my speed. If you're down for some wild chats, add me on that app everyone loves: l-u-n a s-tivq (just make sure to remove the spaces and dashes)! When Julius Caesar, at the age of 33, considered the achievements of Alexander the Great, he wept. His sighs and tears did not come as a result of mourning or fear for his own life, but from a sobering recognition: Alexander had conquered the world before the age of 33 and yet he (Caesar) had done nothing remotely similar, nothing that would warrant remembrance by future generations in the same amount of time. What, then, was the worth of his life? Who would remember an average Roman governor of Spain? Who would remember the name of Caesar?
