Without the war the Italian fascists wouldn't have lost power nor had hundreds of thousands of Italians die. They'd also be able to eventually open up trade with the Western powers and normalize relations. The USSR wouldn't have had to rapidly industrialize in preparation for war at great expense and lose millions committed communists in the Eastern front, leading to both the bureaucratization of the State and rats like Khrushchev taking power.
Also the war kickstarted the economies of Western Europe and America, leading to the revitalization of capitalism and the propagation of global capital that's ruining our world now. If the Great Depression were allowed to continue, more nations would've abandoned capitalism as the contradictions became too evident. So yeah overall Hitler igniting WW2 led to the issues we have today.
