So low experience people fall for it and advocate for it. Problem is, socialism fails the second you run out of other people's money, which is inevitable as you maximize burdens while minimizing producers. This is how you get mass death and starvation, and why all socialist/communist nations MUST transition back to capitalism to support themselves.
People forget capitalism is economic democracy. You all vote with your wallets on what goods/services exist. That means actual shit products fail, and good products (or well marketed products, humans are dumb) win. Unfortunately this does result in concentration into monopoly because the best people end up doing the best shit, which gets majority vote. This then enters the enshitification cycle via gov't regulation because the monopoly cements itself via paying the gov't. This of course is where socialists complain, but they aren't complaining about capitalism itself, they are complaining that rich Jews control the gov't. They won't admit it's Jews, but that is the reality. Which is a bad thing, because Jews invented socialism/communism, and it's a trap to give them power. This is the blind spot all socialists have - they HATE rich Jews, but don't see them as Jews, so they turn to rich Jews for the answer in socialism, not recognizing whoops, "I fell for it again".
