Mary's son's name came to English through Greek, where Yeshua was rendered as Iesus (iota, epsilon, sigma, omicron, sigma) because of the differences between the Hebrew/Aramaic abjad and the Greek alphabet and Greek grammar
so it's more correct to say that Jesus is a translation of Yeshua (actually, a transliteration, not a translation of the meaning) than that Yeshua is a translation of Jesus
