Ask her to give me a slice of the pie if she makes it big and becomes a millionaire. Other than that I couldn't give a fuck. She's 18 and can do what the fuck she wants. If you really think about it, which I doubt you do, society itself through institutions like school and relationships like friends, acquaintances, even culture itself and religion, but most importantly social media, advertising, and a constant connection to the internet, has more impact on raising children than parents ever will.
Parents work a 9-5, return home tired and just want food and relaxation. They ain't got the energy or fucks to give to dedicate their precious free time to raise their kid. And the kid also doesn't want that either. So most of the time the kid spends in school, learning whatever the fuck the government wants them to learn alongside the teacher's biases, among friends, and online getting bombarded with all sorts of ads and other bullshit. That's the state of the world. So it is what it is. Deal with it and move on.
