Been there done that.
Here's what our living situation was. I was renting a house, and me finding these messages.. it's a whole big story we'll just boil it down to she's about to cheat on me. I work on cars for a living, and I wanted revenge.
First of all, I had just gone through a couple of months of doing a lot of work on her car. I felt like she used me for the last couple of months in order to have that stuff done, and was actively searching for someone better than me and finally hooked some other dude. So the first thing on my mind, was that she shouldn't have had all of that Automotive repairs done for free. I even bought all the parts for things that she needed. All of the maintenance. Brake fluid, coolant, tranny and engine oil, power steering, every one of those systems was completely exchanged. I put a new radiator on it, pulled the dash and replaced the heater and evaporator core, stripped the engine down and replaced the timing chain and all components including the expensive VVT sprockets. Various suspension parts, a new gas tank and filler neck, and that is just about half of it. I really got this car back up to 100%. I was proud of that. So she's about to take off for the weekend, and 2 weeks before that I already set it up with my landlord that I'm getting out of the lease, it was no big deal for me to pay $2,000 to break the lease. Especially when I did an engine swap on a 2016 Accord 2.4 that was $1,400, I work for myself by the way, and another vehicle that took me about half a day to make $700 on it. It was just 2 days worth of work. And then to take care of her things.
>5 moth balls in gas tank
>1 quart coolant in engine oil
> drained radiator and filled with Dex cool, so that the acid package causes dropout of the silicate package and corrosion inhibitors
> removed some brake fluid and put half a cup of engine oil in there. That will cause all the rubber to swell, but not to a point of failure immediately. Takes about 3 weeks.
