When I was a kid I found a wallet on the street with some 200-300 bucks in it and a shit load of bank cards and stuff, I came home all excited

It belonged to an old lady that used to be a teacher, I got five bucks in change for bringing it back. Sadly I never found that amount of money again, only like single 10er bills.

Sucks for you but she was probably on a fixed income and you probably saved her ass.
As for me, the most I've found was $300. 3 nice crisp, sequential bills. That's it, no wallet, no money clip, no one around. Unfortunately, I was forced to keep it.
