If only objective truth matters, why should we have opinions in the first place?

Because we have free will and emotions, so opinions will form because of that

Because we are incapable of grasping total truths. Conversation creates sythesis which is believed to be closer to the truth because the truth isn't a word it is every true aspect of anything, physical or abstract.

I mean isn't that the question journelists ask themselves before they start doing what they do? Do I want to take a job that gets me murdered by talking shit about other people, or spin up their own presses. Even though I think alex jones is a bit of a canarie in a coal mine about that sort of thing. A gossip rag is bound to offend someone that can probably manipulate the world with money and influence eventually. Sometimes they'll just do it unjustified to prove they can. It's almost like trying to find a job as a scientist and expect to not do some heinous shit you may not agree with. I mean a editor wants to paint a picture and print this a certain way, it's you're like a cheerleader either as a propogandist or a activist. When you spin your own press you're both unless you kinda do something like the associated press which just sticks to doing factual this is happening here. When you start to broaden it beyond fact, opinion of whether that is a fact gets questioned too much. Why would you want to pick a fucking job that people want you dead for reporting facts? America was maybe the only place that could be done and even now it's not even a gaurentee.

Objective truth doesn't matter.
Go to the middle east and tell them that their religion is fake and see what happens to you. Go to North Korea and tell them that they're living awful lives and the rest of the world doesn't even think about them. Go to Ukraine and tell them that Russia is attacking because Ukraine used neo-nazis for attacking break away states for 7 years ever since the government was overthrown. Tell a western government that immigration is going to cause widespread violence and is losing them elections and see what happens.

The only truth that matters is the truth of the people in charge. Objective truth holds no value other than to individuals that are propagandised.

Because people don't agree on what the objective truth is. It doesn't matter whether the truth is objective if no one can even agree on what it is. Then people will have opinions whether it's logical or not.

you have two pens: one is blue and the other red, which one is objectively better?
while you're trying to figure that out for minutes or hours someone with an opinion will just pick one and go on with their day
apply above issue of figuring out objective truth for every single thing in daily life and you'll get nowhere
