>How the hell is not providing any social services and increasing taxes socialism?
I don't know how to say this differently, other than that's exactly what socialism is, or at least how it always ends up.
>The US is a capitalist country
The US is semi-socialist. We have all kinds of food, housing, tax breaks, and other programs for literally anything. And you know what, they all go broke so they have to scrap the old plan and call it something else. Social security, medicaid, even regional transit in every single city, they're all broke.
>not providing social services is a result of capitalist ideology
That doesn't even pass the sniff test, anon. A capitalist thrives on providing a service, and the more you use of that service, the better. Capitalism is unable to not provide a service unless that service is deemed too expensive for the consumer, at least not without going out of business or having you lunch eaten by competition.
