My entire life, I made money by doing artwork for people. It was my one specialized skill... art

I'm not good at anything else, (other than music)

there's so many things I don't know how to do, lol I'm pretty much of an idiot

except when it comes to artwork
understand?
when it comes to artwork and music, I excel

So that's how I made money
I would paint murals for businesses, nightclubs, restaurants, etc

and charge a lot of money for it
But I was my own boss
I worked for ME

And everybody's got some kind of talent.. It might not be art, it could be anything.. It could be programming, it could be engineering, it could be science, it could be anything... everybody's got a specialty

turn it into your business.
be an independent contractor and charge people for your services

Art is worthless now because AI can make the same things faster and cheaper.

I would make money by pitching creative ideas to nightclubs and restaurants, pointing at their blank walls and telling them my vision for a big vivid mural

and charging them money for the mural and doing the best job I could, right?

pretty much winging it...

pitching a creative idea to the owner
and executing the creative project immediately after receiving 50% down payment, which includes all materials... with the remaining deferred 50% due upon completion of the project

The 50% down covers everything. And you finish the job in just a few days tops, and you get the second half of the money

But right now I'm too old And I've had heart surgery. I'm scheduled for another heart surgery soon, and there's no way I could get up on the 90 ft boom lift with a big paint roller in my hands and tackle a giant wall right now

lol fuck no It would kill me

But you're still young
You can still do it
It doesn't have to be art
You've got skills and talents all your own

You should be charging money for your skills as an independent contractor

no sir you're completely wrong...

In fact, you couldn't be any more wrong
allow me to explain:

The Advent and crescendo of AI graphics has already occurred, and people are already sick and tired of it. In fact, 90% of people say they hate ai graphics

That was fast

In fact, that was one of the fastest "flash in the pan" scenarios I've ever seen

AI graphics became cliche SO FAST, And at this point, everybody hates them already

And it had only just begun

no sir... You're wrong because humanity will always have a need and appreciation for the humanity in applied arts

I'm not sure if you know what the term applied arts means

But your education isn't my problem
or the lack thereof

sorry to burst your little 'blade runner' futuristic robot fantasies, but no matter how much technology advances, the human touch will never go out of style

funny you'd mentioned perspective, because it's actually captured from a steel frame from a video of walking through Piedmont Park.

That still frame was transferred onto an overhead projector and I traced out the exact lines from an actual photograph, an actual still frame from a video of Piedmont Park

So every line is exactly where it was supposed to be lol

(Plus your opinion doesn't really carry much weight, considering how much money the client paid me, and he loved it... John was a friend of mine I've known for years.. He's a millionaire real estate guy. I've known him for years and years. But I did lots of work for him, and he loved this painting, and he paid me out the ass... I made a shitload of money, and had a blast.

(they even put me in the newspaper when I was painting it)

What are we doing today, NEETbros? I think I'll go to the park and drive my RC car, maybe chase some unsuspecting kids or roasties with it, and grab some McDonald's after- no, Taco Bell.

So yeah... I appreciate you sharing your opinion, and it doesn't make me angry

It doesn't bother me if you don't like it
lol
I think it's funny

I think it's funny because I got paid so much money and had such a good time and they even wrote a big newspaper article about me doing that mural

It was a lot of fun

And like I said, John had been a friend for a long time, and I used to do architectural renderings for his real estate company when I was a teenager. they were good

I did this proposals for him when he was developing new properties, and they looked good.. front elevations, etc

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
again, I just had heart surgery
I'm scheduled for more heart surgery next month... these days I can't get up on a 90-foot boom lift with a paint roller in my hand anymore

And I'm not suggesting you should climb up on a 90-foot boom lift either

But you're still young
You don't have heart surgery coming up

You've got a lot of skills
You're not stupid at all
there's lots of things you specialize in

If you charge people money for doing what you love to do, it's like not working at all

see what I'm saying?

IT'S THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD
doing what you specialize in
doing what you love doing anyway

Right? It's like not even working

being your own boss is the only way to go

Not obsolete at all, because the mural industry is actually exploding right now all across America

I suppose you're too dense to realize at this current time, cities all across America want big murals

lol You don't get out very much, do you?
In fact, they have programs in cities everywhere right now, mural festivals, and it's never been a bigger industry than right now

............ So you couldn't possibly have picked a worse time to put your foot into your mouth

The only thing that makes me obsolete is I have another heart attack in September, and I had to undergo a heart surgery

lol I still run, I'm still active
But doing a big mural isn't easy. It takes a lot of physical effort.

You have to basically attack the walls lol
or sometimes the walls will attack you
and dangling from a boom lift probably isn't going to happen right now because I have another heart surgery coming up

lol

But this is the best time of year to do any outdoor work

especially an outdoor mural. This is definitely the best time of year
But I'm a heart patient now
So yes, obsolete...

I can live with that......

I don't mind that label at all
especially when it comes from you

because quite honestly, I've accomplished more on any given day then you've ever accomplished in your goddamn fucking life

I'm not being a dick. I'm simply saying I've experienced more and achieved more on any given day then you have in your entire fucking life.

because you spend your entire life staring at that stupid computer

But I didn't

I didn't spend my life staring at that stupid fucking computer

lol........

So when it comes to being obsolete
I respect your opinion

Anonymous No.942235999 [Report]
maybe if you turned off that little computer of yours, and went out there into the real world, you would be amazed to discover:

THE MURAL INDUSTRY IS BOOMING RIGHT NOW!!!!
And I'm not joking:
IT'S FUCKING BOOMING!!
All across America and elsewhere, murals are literally going up everywhere
So it's a shame I'm old and require heart surgery, because this would be a great time of year to go out there and bang out a badass mural

I just don't have that strength because it takes a lot of physical effort
seriously it takes a lot of fucking effort Youd be surprised... you'd be surprised
But if you're young, you can handle it
I always handled it

In fact
I'LL TEACH YOU EXACTLY HOW TO DO IT
Even if you've never painted anything in your life
Even if you've never drawn a straight line on a piece of paper
I can actually teach you how to paint a big ass mural just like doing a coloring book basically

and charge money for it
It's an awesome job because it's not really a job.. It's art
doing the actual painting part is easy... The other part I could teach you is the hard part:

THE ART OF SALES
how to walk into a business and 15 minutes later walk out with thousands of dollars in your pocket

All to paint a big mural
walking out with 50% down
and a newfound burst of creative energy

I can teach you exactly how to CLOSE THE DEAL

depending on where you live and the jurisdiction, it's most likely a civil matter, in which the owner has to pay a filing fee at the court, and evict the people

(although tenant landlord disputes quite often and up with criminal charges lol depending on how heated things get sometimes)

generally speaking that's how it's handled

And it gets handled lol
because once a bailiffs deputy appears at your door (those guys are always very friendly, usually old white haired cops that have been on the force for a long time, and they aren't going to arrest you. they are simply there to serve you with papers, so that's why they have a cool attitude.... they aren't there to put you in handcuffs, so they treat you with respect)

once The troublesome tenants get the documentation from the bailiff's deputy, game over

It's worth it to pay the $150 filing fee
Anonymous No.942236295 [Report]
If you had the choice between like $150 filing fee at the courthouse, or another month or 6 months of dealing with the problem tenants... The choice is clear

affect both of them and have them trespassed from the property so they're never allowed to return, so they can't come back and cause problems later

these days more than ever, people are unstable, so If you're having them evicted, you might as well have them trespass to make sure they don't come back and lash out
