I've always thought that the only thing controllers were missing was one (I guess now two) of those laptop mouse things that kinda work, when it's not drifting without you touching it. Glad every controller is dedicating 60% of the surface area to this necessary feature that I have totally used more than a single time ever.

trackpads are good for games that have a lot of mouse inputs like Civ for example... but playing games on the couch with a mouse is hard.
also some people have been using them with gyro to be really accurate in shooters
