4. Work migration routes. If you can get any job abroad—even low-paid—some countries will sponsor visas. It’s hard if you’re broke, but if you can gather any resources, it can be a safer route than risking your life at sea.
5. Smuggling or illegal migration. People do pay smugglers to cross borders without visas, but this is risky and usually expensive. Not recommended, but it’s part of the real landscape. It’s better than drowning in a kayak, though.
Bottom line: Crossing the Baltic Sea in an inflatable kayak is not a realistic escape plan. You’d almost certainly die.
