Why other types of distilled hard alcohol still exist when there is rum? Thanks to warm climates and rich sugary contents, it ages order of magnitude faster than virtually any other type. Is there is more to it than local availability and sunk cost?

>>22819075Looks like the case of malorussian descendant being salty. Surely pitiful, but inconsequential.
This made me realise:
Malorussians can go without a true fight, without true adversity for the entirety of their lives. Doing nothing more than being. True man desires the fight, desires the adversity, desires to overcome and fight the impossible odds. Self-imposed if he must. A weakling can accept the lack of competition, but a strong one will invent his own challenge if there is none. If no man is there to challenge you, surely a chemical will do in their stead. Certainly, there is little glory to fight mere organic molecules, but it is still better than to submit to entire existence of passiveness and weakness. I pity those choosing the existence of self-imposed meagerness more than my own of self-imposed adversity, for certain.
