The difference between Scene and Emo was the music and the fact that the Scene girls actually looked cute, while the emo girls were more often than not the kind that would wear nose rings today.

Also one more thing I want to bring up: zoomer “””””emos””””” wear relatively little eyeliner but a shit ton of blush. They don’t bother doing the tease or the fringe, they just wear their hair in whatever shitty way they want (guys the broccoli haircut and girls their hair parted down the middle like they just woke up, dyed of course). Really the part about zoomers that pisses me off more than anything is how they never try. You can’t get them to try. They just slap on the nearest MCR shirt and call it a day. Ask them who La Dispute or Circa Survive is, they’ll never know. Briefly mention some shitty generic SoundCloud rapper or Black Parade specifically, they go nuts.
