The cup with the straw has fris vodka mixed with lemon juice, water, and stevia. I got into it recently. basically it has 4 input audio jacks & it outputs all of them to my earbuds
each one has a volume dial which is just a potentiometer

two of the windows on the left monitor are just hoptodesk (remote desktop freeware) to the two servers im running, and then i have a tab open for my firewall appliance.

As these are autonymous systems its silly to actually have them up 24/7 i just put them up for the picture. Realistically, leftmost monitor will have another browser window and chat windows, like discord. My right monitor is my primary monitor, and i either have my primary browser open to 100% or visual code open to 100%. I will also have various notes or file explorers spread around this monitor or my other monitor but they dont take up much of the screen

Its a "U-shaped" desk with a hutch. So one side has personal computer stuff, another side has work computer stuff, other side has my office printer and sometimes another monitor or 'development' laptop for testing random crap and office supplies and paperwork. yeah it looks like shit haha and very jerry-rigged with the wooden platflorm. It did involve wiring the house for ethernet though, every bedroom gets at least one, mine gets 2 and the livingroom gets :3

the power strip hanging on the far left is a kasa smart strip, its connected to my wifi and can power things off with an app or with python, the idea being i give my servers and my firewall the power to powercycle eachother but i havent implemented it yet ive been too busy with other stuff

kasa plugs are pretty cheap and if you only need one outlet they sell single outlet plugs. all programable and controllable in python after you set them up but i havent played around with it desu

i got a spool of 1000ft of cat6 for dirt cheap and did everything myself. So using an oscillating saw to cut holes in dryway, snaking the lines, putting in panels into rooms, all leading to the patch panel to the livingroom

i hired an electrician to run a single line to my bedroom and he did the shittiest job imaginable. i spent less money wiring my whole house myself than i paid this electrician to do a shit job, although it did take some time. But within a few weeks of my wiring being set up, my 'new customer' xfinity discount ran out and they wanted me to pay $150 a month for my 500mb connection but i ended up getting a 1GB connection for $80 a month so it worked out

yes, tells them your needs. They might try to get you on another service, like HBO or a phone line, but stick to exactly what you need. They said my options were $80 a month for 500mb internet or $80 a month for 1GB of internet with autopay enabled. There might have been better options if i pressed further and maybe you can press further, but thats what i went with, 1GB internet with autopay. It might benefit you to look into other service providers available and leverage quotes

You automatically become a 'new xfinity customer' after you have been out of service for 2 years (i think its 2), so thrifty couples will swap in and out of being in one or the other partner's name to maintain that discount.

My mom spends $360+ on xfinity, for shit internet, a home phone line, cable, and subscriptions like HBO and other packages where she can STILL get ads and i think its retarded. If i want to watch a movie i have fast internet and use a torrent with many seeders and i'll have it on my NAS before we are ready to watch it (or you dont mind waiting 5 min)
