I don't know man for the past few years I have done nothing but doom scroll, jack off and get high; it wasn't always like this but since I got out of high school life just has been a dead end. I don't know how to even catch up because I am so far behind all my peers. Smart enough to realize the world is a mess and I am wasting my life but not smart enough to figure out a way to fix it.

At least I keep my room clean...

ah ye
the rats in the rat utopia experiment went insane when confined to a small space & with all their food/water needs constantly provided for
in that position, there's no rhythm to life or any rational reason to do anything in particular
humans are creatures of survival first, like any other animal
you might want to get away from your parents a bit
idk how though, i'm gonna be chris chan 2 at this point, it's fucked
but when your needs are no longer provided for, the motivation will find YOU, if that makes sense
and when that happens, you might mysteriously feel like your soul comes back

Exercise and do a bit of a project each day, even if its just a doodle or a couple of lines of writing. Although even that is hard to do because this dog wont shut the fuck up.

a kettlebell is nice if you're unmotivated and solitary
it's tiny, easy to use in a small space, cheap, etc
also there's no setup or maintenance, you can just pick it up on a whim and start exercising

Step 1: go for a walk, it's great for clearing the mind and energizing the body.
Step 2: get a job, any crappy job, it doesn't matter. Having obligations and having to face other people irl will trigger your self-consciousness and make you clean yourself up out of embarrassment.
Step 3: make friends with coworkers and start hanging out with them. This is how a lot of adults make social connections.
Step 4: pick up that can. You now have people you can invite over to party or game with, so you have a reason to clean your room. Tidy up, order some pizza and put on the bing bing wahoo.
Step 5: happiness. It might sound lame hanging out with a ragtag band of degenerate wagies but it feels amazing compared to festering in your own filth. And you will only improve from here. Better job. More money. Better friends. Improvement is incremental.

>get a job
people don't get this because it sounds so unpleasant to bag groceries or wait tables. but you can work at a nicer place like a trader joes or local coffee shop or something, instead of a walmart. it's actually enjoyable. you have to be around other people. loneliness is a lot of your problem.

the other one i stole from the documentary "stutz", and it's diet, exercise, and sleep. if you feel bad all the time, it's pretty likely you're neglecting one or all of those. you're an animal and a machine and you require certain inputs in order to feel good.
if you're always sleep deprived, or going to bed at 4:30am and waking up at 2pm every day, you're going to feel like shit. fix your sleep.
if you eat garbage, or overeat, or undereat, you're going to feel like shit. fix your diet.
if you never go for a walk or pick up weights, you're going to feel like shit. exercise.

these are things you can work on now. changes you can make tomorrow. if you're neglecting these things, it's not possible to feel good. people who normally feel good are people who do these as part of their routine and take it for granted.
if you fix your diet, sleep, and exercise, in one week you'll feel better. if you don't believe me, try it. prove it to yourself. one week.

I literally can't get a job because migrants take all of them and if you complain about it your racist. The one job I managed to land was literally slowly killing me because I handled toxins with no gear for min wage so I quit.
