my town population is between 10k and 50k

I come from a small town of under 1000 people surrounded by other small towns (the biggest one within 30 minutes of driving has about 20k)
It's shit.

>everyone knows you and your family, you must always be mindful of how you act, where you go... lest you get judged
>no stores
>no real place to meet up with others in your teenage years (there is a bar but it's 100 percent boomer territory)
>no jobs unless you want to be a farmer or mechanic
>no places to cultivate hobbies and find a community as a kid, be it sports, card games or anything (without having your parents drive you back and forth to some nearby, slightly larget town everyday, which gets old really fast)
>no new people your age to meet, unless you go to one of the nearby towns, but even then there isn't much to do
I'm attending university in a city of about 300k and made many friends there, but I constantly think of how behind others I am, I had no chance to have any meaningful experiences growing up and have no interesting stories to tell
