I've been a shitlord here on 4chan for an age but tried Reddit because having these one-off threads with strangers isn't always the best format for certain discussions. I can't believe how unusable Reddit is and it's 100% because of its users.
>There's an "Unpopular Opinions" board that prohibits virtually every topic known to man
>Every single board dedicated to relationship advice goes directly to divorce/breakup/ghosting with zero focus or even an attempt to discuss reconciliation strategies.
>Any opinion outside of an extremely narrow cluster of media talking points gets down voted and banned
>Posting on one board will get you banned from hundreds of other boards which have nothing to do with each other
>Despite this almost Stalinist approach to curated opinions, nobody seems to actually have any deeply held beliefs and constantly talks in qualifiers
>There is a popular "language learning" board but you can't ask questions or discuss a specific language that you are learning. It's like you have to just ask meta questions about the concept of language learning and strategies about language learning without discussing the actual language you are learning
>Any board on a technical skill or hobby or craft is 99% unhelpful snobs
>Every board has this impossible to remember list of acronyms that are often for niche slang terms
>So to understand a post you have to look up the acronym, find the term, then look up what the meaning of this slang term used by less than 1000 people on this one subreddit
>Nevermind that these people think women can have dicks so a post like "I keep buying clothes for my girlfriend but can't find anything that
fits her nicely" is completely uninformative
>meanwhile "I was sucking my wife's cock the other day and it reminded me of this IPA I had recently" is normal
Update: Wow! Five upvotes! Thank you!
Update 2: OMG 27 up votes!? I am soooo thankful you guys!!!!
