The only thing you really have to tinker with nowadays is old games, and ChatGPT helps with that. Windows is also always running shit in the background and hogging resources. It's slow and annoying to use.

Mint is cozy. OpenMandriva is anti-woke. Alpine is minimalist and old-school (uses OpenRC instead of the systemd clusterfuck for instance). Depends on what you want. If you want games, Mint has a precompiled amdgpu driver that easy to install - if you have an nvidia gpu then things are a little harder. I believe OpenMandriva has the same ease with the amdgpu driver. Alpine is cozy if you don't need games, and you can compile your own vid drivers easily. If you're ab absolute retard who can't computer, elementaryOS.

Depends on what you need.

In addition there are far fewer shitnux users so they're easier to monitor and keep tabs on.

the world govermewnts are working hand in hhand with microsoft to take high powered computing out of the hand of average people.
HAve you ever had a comment section not allow you to say nigger? Well the Govt wants all computers to run remotely on Government servers where they can blanket enforce whatever control over you they want because they can just deny you access to the network which will soon completely be the only way to interact with society including financially

lmao
I was basically a windows user up until 2017 when leftists started getting fucky.
I really only used it for Adobe photoshop, Microsoft Office, web, and maybe a little bit of games.
I was tired of the mandatory updates and it was really getting on my nerves.
I became /g/pilled and switched to straight Linux.
Mind you, I tried ubuntu before. I didn't like the Ubuntu Graphical User Interface with those big icons on the side, and at the time, amazon was auto-installed on it. They don't do that anymore.
Anyway, I suggest Linux Mint, full version with LibreOffice. if you can install that, then you can easily install another Distro right over it if you don't like it. Distro-hopping is a necessary evil imo in order to find that distro that is super comphy to you. I have a particular Distro (not mint) that I prefer to use. I won't advertise it though.
