I was basically a windows user up until 2017 when leftists started getting fucky.
I really only used it for Adobe photoshop, Microsoft Office, web, and maybe a little bit of games.
I was tired of the mandatory updates and it was really getting on my nerves.
I became /g/pilled and switched to straight Linux.
Mind you, I tried ubuntu before. I didn't like the Ubuntu Graphical User Interface with those big icons on the side, and at the time, amazon was auto-installed on it. They don't do that anymore.
Anyway, I suggest Linux Mint, full version with LibreOffice. if you can install that, then you can easily install another Distro right over it if you don't like it. Distro-hopping is a necessary evil imo in order to find that distro that is super comphy to you. I have a particular Distro (not mint) that I prefer to use. I won't advertise it though.
