Sold my gaming rig despite having over 6k hours on record and even more if you also count consoles i used to play as a kid.

Anyone else here giving up on vidya?
There is the occasional nice game but none which justify a modern and expensive gaming pc. I still remember when my 600€ could run literately everything at max settings...

PC parts depreciate in value (or atleast they have in the past) to the point where it's probably better to keep the PC and put it to work somehow
maybe

I've love given up vidya, kiddo, but while you sold your shit to gamble on the stock market, I've ceased playing games to pursue imagination and literature.

When i sold my gpu was valued more than when i bought. I think i exited at the best opportunity.

Im rocking an amd APU with vega 7 graphics and its crazy how strong this little and cheap thing is.

What? I used my money to expand my hobbies. If you ever have some money laying around and don't know what to do, get into analog photography and do the developing and printing yourself.

But yeah i sold just when the parts crisis started. Just remembered however that i only only did that with the first card as i bought another one after i sold at the peak so im retarded sorry. Still more expensive than it was then despite the prices barley dropping.

>Nintendo marks games up +$80
>Handheld Switch is $450 overpriced while some are saying regional prices are $330
>Consoles or "convenience" gaming just got more expensive than value/retro gaming.
>'Stop Killing Games' consumer initiative just past a major milestone to make older and retro games available.
>All you've needed to do is maintain your rig for the past 5 years since tech markets are making no progress on hardware & are mostly reselling the same thing for marginal improvements.
>AI productivity products can be run at the low cost of your electric bill.

I don't know a single person who only uses their rig for gaming. Not unless they have a separate rig for gaming than the rig they have for work.
