It depends. Female psychologists are trained for HR here so they don't count. The ones that give therapy, only CCT has solid evidence and it's not touchy feely bullshit. Just be careful with females because they try to "normalize" bullshit and "empower" other foids.

My parents were kind of dumb so they put me through the system as a kid. Most were ok, but clearly cheesing desperate parents to get prescriptions done, but one I had was horrible. She was fat and Indian and would try her hardest to make life bad for me every visit. My stupid parents thought her attitude was ok, until she fucked with them too, then magically I was right about her lol

Evil. There is no right or wrong way for the mind to be and to convince people they know when the cycles of the zeitgeist of cultures dictate that more than anything it should be criminal.
Some of my fave things are how schizophrenia affects you differently from different cultures and upbringings.
I also like the tranny question where you should be affirmed that you are biologically what you are presented as biologically even on an atcg scale we could take blood and set you proper instead they counter science and set them backwards and sideways. Really weird system to have in place there.

I really dislike that men are given female psychologists that just completely fail them altogether. I'm sure it goes the other way sometimes too, but I very bad trust issues in the system for it's severe gender issues and the presentation that gender doesn't matter at all in therapy.

I have seen the same therapist every week for over a year for DBT and it has been very helpful for me. It took quite a few tries though to find one like this who is skilled at what they do, passionate about it and helpful. I have seen others who are not helpful at all so when I found this one I have stuck with them. I can completely understand why some would he put off entirely by the field due to negative experiences. A lot of psychs out there who are only in it for the money or don't know what they are doing

I'm sure there are actual good therapists but the way lefties talk about it makes it sound like a political weapon more than anything. Dbt is not talk therapy which is what I assume you believed I was talking about. The sessions I take part in are not about "whining" or venting. They are going over skills to use for daily life and introspection about maladaptive behaviors to replace them with more productive ones. I have a lot of people who would listen to me if my desire was just to vent from family to friends, that does nothing useful for me.

I went to therapy when I was a teenager and lowkey did me zero favors. The therapist was nice so I'm fond of having someone to talk to, but I feel like that really did not help me get my shit together, that's something I did in my early 20s (stuff I should have gotten over by the time I was like 16). Probably helps others, I don't really know. My anecdotal evidence with closer cases is that it doesn't or takes so long at that point it's almost a waste.

Therapy is confession for atheists. It allows you to go talk to an anonymous person, confess your transgressions, and receive absolvement. If you don't feel you've done anything wrong then therapy is useless for depression/anxiety/et al.

I've always been highly skilled at manipulating psychiatrists and psychologists. Both my sister and I were always like this. My trick is manipulating my psych doctors into thinking that I still need benzodiazepines so they keep giving me free Ativan lmao.
