Should I pay off my debt or buy a new computer? This is an urgent matter.

How big is debt, how much is interest, how much money do you make, and how much is the computer?
Also it's cheaper to build than buy. We might be able to work something out here.

It's a very specific computer (pic related) I want it for ultra portability and will use it for work (sec/sysadmin).

It will be 1466 dollars
My debt is $1800 on one card, $1200 on another.
I make 5500 a month. After bills I have 2.5k left. Most goes to food and into the debt. I'll pay it off either way but I guess buying this shit feels irresponsible before paying it all off. I don't buy a lot for myself, though. This debt is all from my divorce. It used to be 30k and I've paid it all down in a little over a year

Oh sorry, interest on one is 0% and 26% on the $1800 one. Definitely high on the 1800.

>Why did you not get one

>and what made you no longer want one
repeated bad life events until i became generally apathetic

it seems like you could pay off the debt and then buy this in only 1 month from now, right?
that might be good
since it's for your work, if you had to wait 1 year, it might be better to get the laptop
i don't think 30 days lacking the laptop will harm your productivity much in the long run, but i wouldn't know

I bought a new PC, replaced my ac unit, and bought a new bed all within the last 2 months because I have a grown up job. It's a good feeling to be financially stable, I can only recommend it.
