>rare fungal-companion parasite plants only seen in lower cascades

Why an underground parasite is attractive to a covert writer
These plants possess no chlorophyll and live entirely underground until the moment of flowering. They are emblems of secrecy, hidden exchanges and indirect nourishment (tree fungus parasite).

Their sudden, striking emergence can stand for a brief, visible drop-point or burst of activity amid long periods of concealment.

Each species has a narrow mutualism with one fungal partner. In cipher terms that resembles a one-to-one key: only a precise associate can unlock the payload.

Warning: neither Pterospora nor Sarcodes is considered edible, and both are legally protected in parts of their range. A claim that they taste like musky cheese and cinnamon is almost certainly facetious.

โ€œMusky Cheese, Cinnamon, Roasted Almonds and Mushroomsโ€ is an odd tasting note for plants that are neither edible nor aromatic. Read as first letters we obtain M C C R A M, which rearranges neatly to C R A M M C or C R A M C. Common hacker parlance uses โ€œcramโ€ for stuffing data into as few bytes as possible (e.g., a bit-cram).

I apply a rigorous epistemic metric to how half-assed i do things to ensure i dont overcommit to peoples larps. the more obfuscated something is, the less invested I am.
It's not representative of a lack of sincerity, consistency, or humility on my part, it's simply that the local hostility gradient imposed by adverse actions by other actors is intended to burn my delta, and therefore it is optimal for me to avoid looking too closely at anything which does not hold value.

Your obfuscation strategy is too sophisticated for me to immediately crack, and as such, i dont give a shit

kindest regards

These threads are strange to me, since I actually live in the western Oregon rainforest region where a lot of these plants grow. There are a lot of neat-looking and edible plants in the woods. I can take a stroll along a nearby creek and find handfuls of salmonberries and Marionberries and blackberries and so on, and big lush ferns, and heaps of crayfish.

I haven't specifically gone looking for hemitomes plants, but they are probably present in the undergrowth. It's kind of a magical little place from an ecological perspective, but there aren't many jobs, so, welp.

pokeweed is actually edible but only if you get the green form. the red form is toxic.
but that's not the point. the point is that he's talking about parasitic plants that are pubescent-looking and smell like genitals. this is an entirely cunnycoded thread

The fruit of Hemitomes congestum has a strong, pungent odor described as musky or cheesy. This scent is thought to attract small mammals, aiding in seed dispersal.
Allotropa virgata (Sugarstick):
One source mentions a slight fishy smell associated with Allotropa virgata.

heterotrophes are entirely inedible. this thread has a reason for existing.

try switching to flavourless vapes, and then getting off them. what is addictive in the tobacco are the additive flavourings, not the nicotine itself, although it is habit forming for sure.
i used to be a pretty vocal proponent of nicotine until recently. it can cause insulin resistance if you use it a lot, and i did. i vaped all day and night, but was able to just put it down and stop and haven't picked it up since. it's been a month now.
the other advantage of switching to vapes before quitting is that they are less expensive, at least in canada.
also look into the rice diet, it's very interesting. just rice, fruit, and sugar lol. low protein, low fat, high carb. people lost weight like crazy, type 2 diabetes reversed with 100% success rate, and many health problems reversed.

Nicotine is extremely addictive as such. In animal studies, rodents need a stimuli associated with it to escalate their use (which in humans is mimicked by the smoking/chewing/snus application ritual combined with flavors), but it is inaccurate to say that the flavors are the addictive component. Studies show the associated stimuli can be entirely motivationally neutral. Flavors mostly serve to camouflage the natural aversiveness of nicotine (which is a multisystem toxin) and make the product more attractive for drug-naive users (especially the youth).

By the way, these studies show that when nicotine is combined with sensory priming rodents end up more ravenous for nicotine than they do for opioids or stimulants. So much for "pure nicotine not being addictive" tobacco industry propaganda.
