I have pigeons nesting above my AC unit and I couldn't be happier. This morning while leaving for work I reached out to the male to test his comfort. He would've let me feed him if I had food. This is a great sign of trust and comfort which makes me even happier since I've been slowly building their trust. I intend to protect this pair and help them raise their child to ideally become a pet then later a utility animal. Pigeons are very smart and can be trained to do many things. In fact the US military once trained pigeons to guide missiles. I would like a messenger pigeon to send things to my friends in other states.

these big pigeons come up to my area for mating season and eat all of my bird seed last year they were here for a week or two but this year it was three or four weeks

i look forward to seeing them next year it is very amusing seeing 8 or 9 of them crowding a table or section of grass and climbing on top of each other for food

Corvids are who you befriend. Every time I go walking down my route with my dog every morning at the same spot the ravens come down and greet me because I throw them food every time. They cause a great ruckus and surround me on all sides. Up in the trees. On the fence of the tennis court.

Having the favor of the corvids is good luck. Befriending pigeons? A waste. Trash sorts with trash I guess.
