>>22928667I'm in my sixties, worked hard when it made a difference and tried to improve the way of life for people. I'm a bit wasteful in my grocery shopping habits, but I'm a bachelor and it's not that easy to cook nice meals for one person. Most of my own wealth is inherited and I was not ruthless in my acquisition of it.
No, I'm not going to give it all away. No, I don't want to live in a cheap apartment when I can own a home in a fairly rural setting. What happens in this country is not my problem anymore.
Young people should just understand that when they choose to push the elderly out of the workforce, they now own the bad decisions that they continue to make. I still have my investments, and you still have your promises made to the boss man that apparently didn't plan for you eating well.
We don't get too many wars on our soil. The worst one was against our own people. I prefer to think that we tend to made responsible decisions based on the tech and the geography of the times, but sometimes the changes happen faster than we can adjust for.
Just a bit of elderly wisdom for you....don't try to play alpha dog with old folk. It only makes you look like a predator, not the protector of the herd.
