Japanese have are real stingy about food. An MRE is 1 cup rice, tiny curry packet, one cube of meat, and instant miso and tea.

There's no yakuza anymore because it all got replaced with anonymous criminals who cover their tracks and rarely interact with each other. It's organized crime but can appear unorganized very quickly. It is actually far worse than the yakuza because the police could easily track those groups but not these ones

Their demise happened yes, but what replaced them, hangure groups, is worse. They got rid of the mafia with strict rules, hierarchy, and outward attempts at being legitimate and replaced it with zoomers who run wild and do whatever they want together then disappear into the shadows.

It's really not worse though, their crimes are gonna be way more petty, they'll have less influence over the government, they're pretty easy to catch too.
Letting the Yakuza exist at all was a cuck move from the Japanese government.
