I used to like the DCEU movies, but now looking back I don’t think they’ve aged that well, MoS feels like military propaganda advertising to me.

That one unironically had paid advertising inserted by the US military. It was revealed a LOT of movies get bribed to write some scenes in a way that makes the military look cool. Pitch Perfect 3 was another movie that made their government shilling too obvious.
If any director wants to use cool military vehicles or bases in their movie, they have to let the government rewrite the script in a way that makes the military look cool.

Overall I thought Gunn’s Superman did a lot better job in general and I walked away in a generally good mood which has rarely happened to me after watching a movie. This movie didn’t feel the need to include an overstated military presence , yeah it’s more grounded and realistic I’m not sure about that, but I guess they felt compelled due to the tone they were going for especially since it was an origin movie, but Superman outright explicitly worked with the military and there was even characters in the military which really effected the general tone of the movie.

Gunn’s superman I felt was actually really balanced, in terms of what was featured in the storyline, instead of the military this movie had regular citizens but it only ever made already existing Superman characters established like Jimmy Olsen, Perry White and others

In the comics and the cartoons, he usually has a chunky linebacker head. This guy is faithful to the Superman look. Henry Cavill played a good Superman, but his face was too chiselled compared to the original design.
