I just doused a wound in isopropanol but im still worried it might get infected. Feet are susceptible to that you know.

I'd rather not post my feet on a board full of discord users but i was trimming my nails ans cut myself in the process. There was minimal bleeding and after some rounds of isopropanol and quick drying it looks like nothing is coming out of it. But a wound doesn't have to actively bleed to get bad you know.
Last time i had bad luck they cut off a fifth of my toe.

Are Germans naturally less susceptible to empathy? I don't think Klopfer cared about killing those babies.

Oxytocin and vasopressin levels need to be studied along individuals of the haplogroup R-U106.

Unless you're indian and bathe in shit it's hard to actually get an infection on a wound just keep it covered

it's often a bad idea to drench a wound in alcohol
just rinse it with clean water for like 2 minutes, then dry it with something clean/sterile, THEN apply alcohol or topical antibiotic ointment, then bandage it
it's hard to get an infection that way

you aren't treating your wounds properly anon
you're not supposed to do multiple "rounds" of alcohol until it stops bleeding

if the wound is still bleeding after 2 minutes of rinsing, just continue gently patting it until the blood clots, THEN add a modest amount of ointment/alcohol on the area
it's good for blood to clot

you've cleaned it, but that's only step 1
now apply a small amount of topical antiseptic cream, to prevent the germs from coming back over a longer period
then dress it—sticking plasters, or bandages if it's larger—to stop anything getting in the wound
after 24 hours, remove the dressing and check things out, starting again at step 1 if it needs it, but probably by then you can just let it air out and start to heal

did your parents not teach you this?

you can never be too careful. I accidently stepped in a dirty puddle in a dip in my drive way and ended up with a foot fungus that lasted for a good couple years.

Eh, it'll be fine. Just avoid walking barefoot, especially on the ground.

Don't have any left.

Did the same and got some warts that needed years of fighting with acid.

gotta keep that stuff around
those supplies don't expire, don't take up much space, are good for many uses, etc

Better use isobetadine, complexed iodine is a better and longer lasting antiseptic, alcohol just evaporates. Iodine sublimes as well, but slower.
Keep your feet dry and open to air, wear sandals or flip flops.
