Protip: deodorant makes your sweat smell worse. Your armpits are turbofucked because all the time they should have been sweating and expelling toxins you had them slathered on chemical goop.

Deodorant detox is not pretty though, you WILL smell like the devils asshole for two weeks. Routine application of rubbing alcohol can reduce this.

The picture is wrong because like you say bacteria play a big role but it's not the only source of smell. There's innate sweat smell and then there's the smell produced by bacteria. Asians simply have fewer smell precursors in their sweat, so the only thing contributing to smell is bacteria. For most people both things contribute to the overall smell.
