I speak to you not only as a president, but as a servant of a people who do not bow, do not break, and will not yield.
The battle for Ukraine is not over. What we have endured — in Mariupol, in Bucha, in the rubble of Bakhmut — was not a defeat, but a trial. We were attacked by an enemy who believed that tanks could crush people, that terror could silence truth, that cruelty could extinguish the will to resist.
They were mistaken.
We shall go on until every occupied village, every battered town, every stolen border is returned.
We shall fight in the Donbas, on the steppes, in the forests of Chernihiv and the fields of Kherson.
We shall fight in the streets of our cities, in our towns and settlements, in the ruins and on the bridges, in the skies above Zaporizhzhia and on the banks of the Dnipro.
We shall never surrender.
We shall never kneel.
We are free — and we shall remain free.
Even if — in the most dire of moments — the heart of our nation were to be pressed, even if enemy boots were to step within our capital, still our spirit would not submit.
From the mountains in the west, from the shelters and cellars, from the soul of our people, new fighters would rise — resolute, hardened, with one purpose: to reclaim what is ours.
And to Europe, if it hesitates, let this be heard:
We are not merely a frontier.
We are the wall that stands between civilization and tyranny.
We are the vanguard of liberty.
As long as Ukraine breathes, the tyrant will know no rest.
Let Moscow understand this:
There will be no peace for the empire while it remains a predator.
But we, the free Ukrainians, will live, love, fight and sing —
until the last invader leaves,
and our sun rises over a land that kneels to no one.
For freedom. For Ukraine. For all who say “no” to the conqueror’s boot.
Slava Ukraini.
