>>22971085 (OP)I know a girl just like this, only older. She's a fit and hot Lululemon girlie, with a good boss babe laptop job in Manhattan at a cool marketing firm. Instagram is one exotic trip after another. Here she is holding a monkey. Swimming with sea turtles. Girl brunch ("I love us.") If you meet her on a good day, she sounds exactly like this video. Life's great, she's in love w/ herself. She's in therapy. She's on the right mix of antidepressants. In a Good Place. Doing the Work to be happy and balanced. Not giving in to The Pressure.
But she'll be 40 soon, and she's having more bad days lately. If you catch her on a bad day, you will meet a cornered animal. She's stalking her exes' socials. Thinking about moving, quitting her job, starting a nonprofit, blowing up her life in some drastic way, because something isn't working. She's freaking out about her debt.
Jags of uncontrollable ugly-crying in public. The SSRis aren't helping. The vacations and spin classes and cold-pressed juices aren't helping. She's getting a thickness around the middle that she can't burn off anymore (just like Mom), and the Bumble guys want her to do weirder stuff in bed. She thinks it's probably too late to have a kid, and she's resigned to this, until she's not. Maybe tonight's Bumble date turns out to be The One, and if they did a very short engagement...
