I was really feeling and liked the multiple dimensions plot point, and I thought it was interesting because it’s based on Nordic paganism/mythology where there are multiple worlds. I really liked this and thought it was really cool, and thought it was a great idea including this in the superhero genre. Which is one of the reasons why Thor is a favorite comic book character for me.
I wanted to do something similar instead of just do outer space. For example Shazam and Superman don’t really go to other dimensions very often and instead usually just go through outer space.
Thor actually does both, so that sort of inspired me. I’m still not exactly sure how to go about featuring other dimensions though yet, I thought it would be a great idea to come up with my own ideas for dimensions. But another reason why I thought alternative dimensions was great is because you can kind of feature and include adventure aspects into the story which don’t normally appear in superhero comics.
Some of my favorite series for stories are games that Square Enix makes. I used to read about what influences went into creating their stories and it was always really interesting to see what they took from, but usually there was Nordic mythology, Islam, Christianity, Gnosticism, sometimes Jainism, but it would take from these and always mix them together and put a different spin on them really well and do something totally different with them each time they made a new game.
So I figured if they can do it, maybe I can somehow come up with my own combination of ideas. I’m not entirely sure what I want to accomplish in this regard. I sort of want to almost create my own mythological background and stories, but that would be extremely hard to do, but I will probably do it to some extent.
