No. The reason Pino wears a pink cat suit is because Ergo Proxy is based on Satanic Ritual Abuse. Pino is a "spinner kitten". Vincent's original autoreiv is named "Dorothy", spinner kitten kittens within adults are often called Dorothys and are guarded by Toto. When the system is compromised the whirlwind begins like in Wizard of Oz and it starts spinning out whatever emotions are occurring.
So in Ergo Proxy, which is the record of a deprogramming in many ways, Dorothy has to die first. She has porcelain face programming and that's why Vincent picks her head and looks at it. She's replaced by Pino who is a child alter and is aware she's a spinner kitten, and knows she's very good at it, but that she isn't bound to this role alone. She wears pink because it symbolizes the core self and the true emotions. In some other systems they're reporter alters, but it depends. I'd say it's the former.
I don't know why they put her in green army pants. I do know she reminds me of my mother in some strange way, and that at the time I was watching it, my mother had identical pants.
