If you're doing a basic meat, starch, veg meal you can prob come out more ahead, but for something like a burrito it's cheaper just to buy it rather than gether all the necessary ingredients. If you have a family however, it's about the same amount of effort as cooking for yourself and can save you over $1,000 a month. I save at least $3 a meal, so at 2 meals a day, that's $180 savings.

$180 / 5 hours is $36/hour, which isn't a horrible wage. Plus I like my food better than anything I could get out.
