i think the majority of htose people realize it's just shuffling wealth around and not getting real work done
i'm sure there's some lazy people who are happy with that arrangement, but i'm sure there's tons who find it completely hollow and unfulfilling, but they feel stuck, and that's why they drink constantly & isolate themselves
similarly, i'm sure alot of those farmers feel like it's pointless and hate every second of it, and wonder what they could do with more freetime, but there's probably some who find it fulfilling
