When I was having a hard time finding a job I humoured myself by imagining it in the most hyperbolic terms, like imagining that maybe job listings just exist soley to give employers some kind of sexually gratifying thrill from rejecting all applicants because if that's not the case then why do they keep ignoring my applications. I think you have hit on a correct point to say that investors/billionaires/government leaders are not the ones exercising control over the rest of us/some greater power is controlling them. the UK's never been a huge "street food" culture, we have far more take-away dishes, or eat-in "pub grub"
we have the modern equivalent that everyone else has now, which is basically themed restaurants on wheels, doing recipes from places that do it better than us
the closest British mainstay we have to actual cooked-and-eaten-on-the-street food is probably "truckstop" vans that do simple breakfast food in bread rolls or burgers and that in lay-bys on busy roads for long-haul drivers to stop at

man idk what's wrong with my brain. 2ish weeks ago I was getting shit done in my ai stuff and getting bots updated and made and had tons of ideas and now the last 3 days my brain feels asleep and meh about all of it. I keep trying to write stories based on the ideas I had but it all just falls flat and feels like im forcing it. bah even making ai art im just kinda oh huh not sure what to make and just making chicks in underwear or as robots. man this ai block and writers block combo is tiresome.

As I go along with my own stories, the biggest problem is I just start writing stupid prompts that don't move the story forward but are rather non-sequitur and offensive just to see how the AI will respond.

I mostly mess with Perchance and the thing is it totally gets sarcasm and subtext, but you have to spell it out for it. It won't get it on its own, but if you tell it something is a sarcastic statement it knows how to deal with it. Then again, if you're a newbie, it's going to work like an AI waifu chatbot. If you actually want an antagonist or villain character, you have to know how to dig in and change the roleplay guidelines.
