Are women really the weaker gender?
in terms of physical strength yes sure, but how about the ability to cope with life's adversities and general resolve to live? I know so many stories about families where the male is either drunkard who gave up on life or killed himself or is in jail or whatever, where as women maintain everyday life and culture and fight on despite the setbacks. Maybe it's a finnish thing, but honestly, I think women here are tougher, and I respect them more than finnish men.

Modern society in general is one that is not healthy for men spiritually
There are a lot of reasons for it but the kind of strength men are gifted with is far beyond physical
I think what you're seeing is not proof that men are weak, but the specific way that men are most likely to behave when they are weak. A weak man and a weak woman are both terrible for themselves and those around them, they just act very differently.
