Question for knowledgeable Christians. What is the Christian definition of kindness and acting in the way? Still not sure if Jesus was the son of God, but he taught some good stuff, I believe in right and wrong, and there is something bigger than us, and I try to live that way. So already, probably still going to Hell if it's real. But I am curious if even if my actions count at all as acting in the way Christ would want.

Most people call me a boyscout, but my actions are never really built off genuine kindness, but more like, begrudging duty, or it's the right thing to do. Honestly, I hate humans and the modern world and if I could fuck off into the woods and never see a human again, sounds wonderful. I act kind because it's expected of me, I was taught it was the right thing to do, and it's good for society, but I don't really WANT to do it other than to make the person happy occasionally. Is that even viewed as the genuine kindness Christ wants from us to do to our neighbor? Google says no, but I genuinely trust more of randos on the internet than AI.

Pretty much it boils down to. I have a cookie, a guy is hungry, I really want to eat this cookie, but I give it to him because I feel that it is the kind thing to do, he's happy, I am sort of happy I did the right thing, but I am still a bit upset because I had to give up my cookie.
