He accurately diagnosed the problem, but not the solution. So few altcoins delivered actual value that they were essentially valued completely on mindshare anyway. The "transition" from altcoins to memecoins was just the market deciding that there's basically no difference between a dog picture and a "zk L3" with an AAVE clone and no users. But the answer is not to just lean into total nihilism and play money roulette with degens, especially when insiders ended up just controlling that scene too. The answer is to make actually good alts that deliver real value to users and that they are happy to hold.
