When asked about accepting it *now* in the way that it was rushed with the referenda on it (two of them) illegally suspended, or waiting for a better future date where the EU and Eurozone aren't on the brink of a collapse and/or war, 72% of the entire population chose the former. Only 21%, which are the Sofia center-left liberals, agreed to rush in 2026.
And I know, the next question will be "but why are they rushing it if a supermajority is really opposed to it", and I already gave you the answer - two different referenda, one initiated manually by collecting 450k+ signatures (almost no referendum in Europe manages to collect this fucking many signatures in the proposition phase), and a second referendum by the president himself, were both illegally struck down by the constitutional court and the parliament respectively in violation of the constitution, while themselves citing a violation of the constitution to allow them to violate the constitution. It's Romania-tier but in a softer way.
