Oil drilling/refining becomes more efficient over time, and they use profits to diversify into other revenue sources like renewables. It's not like they're doing nothing while the demand for oil declines. Even cigarette companies are still highly profitable.

Not every company needs to be a growth stock to be an amazing investment. Just look at Buffett's picks, Berkshire was a failing textile mill. He even had a term for them, he called them cigarette butts because you could pick them up for dirt cheap and get one last good puff out of them. Oil is more like a full cigar then a cigarette butt.

Depends on what you want/ what you want exposure to. If you actually want oil, there are multiple leveraged oil ETFs I could recommend... If you want to own a piece of a single company, I also owned some OXY back in 2020, and that went extremely well. On the other hand, oil tankers are some of the most dividend-rich companies you could buy. Any and all of them are good, but some are better than others. Do your research and make a value judgment... I'd say that FRO, for as good as it is, feels slightly overpriced compared to other tankers right now.
