you could theoretically slap a 1 or 2% APY for keeping your money in walmartcoin or amazoncoin using their proprietary wallet. You think Defi was just for shits and giggles? Think of the liquidity.

These companies really already have their own cryptos when you think about it. Their in store credits and reward point systems are essentially just an early concept of crypto. If they adopted all on one chain and made for example ERC20 Walmart rewards points that can interact with the rest of blockchain tech I can see a world where there is a lot more interest on these things.

And really having normie retards get crypto tokens on their cards without them needing to lift a finger is really how we will see actual adoption

lmao, but chainlink directly benefits as the only price oracle service that is enterprise ready at the moment. Amazon and Walmart are going to use different blockchains for their stablecoins and will use LINK as an underlying mechanism. I know walmart has partnered with Vechain before and Amazon is directly in cahoots with the LINK team.

Enterprises are not going to use any other solution.

there is no other interoperability solution that is enterprise ready and battle tested. Competitors need to step up their game before they stick with it.

They already have "gift cards"/"cash cards"/"refund cards". There's zero point in making a stablecoin system unless they want their welfare leeches to be able to transfer their EBT funds to each other.

My prediction is the same as for Zuckbook's "Libra" -- if the companies try to force it, they'll get shut down over antitrust concerns.

Everything would need to be super liquid and convertable to other corporate coins or it'd never work. But if it was then potentially it could revolutionise payments as well as reward points/air miles etc.

>Future wagies will have to consider their employer's coin coverage
Can you imagine? There will be a federal (more like global) central currency, then corporate currency. PMs will be banned for wrongthink because it causes cows to fart and faggots to kill themselves or whatever. Entire wagie families could lose social credit scores over night due to corporate bankruptcies triggering the margin call collection of the future, social police to execute them in their pod unit at night.

the price of one amazondollar would be one dollar, as guaranteed by amazon. no oracle needed in fact, this has nothing to do with blockchains at all. customers will give amazon free credit, the coin also removes payment processor fees for amazon. it will be a bog standard database, no need to interact with the grabby blockchain weirdos at all

None of these "CorpoCoins" matter because they're still going to need to pay all of their taxes in USD, pay their mortgages/rents in USD, pay their loans in USD, pay their shareholders in USD, pay their employees in USD and list their goods in USD.

The entire idea of crypto from the very beginning was retarded. Unless you can convince the government and the commercial banks to accept "WalmartCoin" as a legitimate payment, nome of this matters.
