OP, consider joining the Air Force. Keep in mind they aren't allowed to touch you in basic training. You will be safe. You'll be paid to go to tech school. And then after you graduate and work for a year or two, you can quit (tell them you're depressed, anxious, etc and want to go home, you'll get a general discharge) or even get lifelong VA disability benefits if you're lucky.

I highly recommend this path, take the ASVAB and score as high as you can, then go to basic, then tech school, then just quit whenever you want. You'll end up with like $20k in the bank, tech school and certificate for free, job experience, etc.
