I'm in my final year of medical school and kind of regret doing this if I'm being honest.

In the UK you can study it with very, very little chemistry or biology knowledge if you have already have a degree in an unrelated subject (I did physics and hadn't studied bio or chem since 16) and I had no idea that I was about 1,000x more naturally talented at maths and physics until I got here.

I'm still ok and better academically than average doctor just not exceptional like I was at these subjects. I was an awkward freak when I started and I'll forever be grateful for it massively improving my social skills and essentially making me a normie though.

In addition money was a fairly major factor when I picked it. Now crypto makes me far, far more than medicine ever will so the money isn't much of a benefit anymore and I could have just studied what I was best at and most passionate about.

the only people I know that became doctors came from very wealthy and politically connected families, they also had nasty and entitles personalities. It's nearly impossible for a regular white guy to be accepted into med school here unless he is well connected, even if you have top grades they'll reject you at the med school entry interview.

I had a severely abusive childhood which I think with a normal childhood they would have been average or above average. Nowadays they are at least average they were just awful when I started.

I've seen a few people who imo will never have good communication skills but seems pretty rare. And yeh they were pushed hard into it by parents lol.

I'm not bad at it, I just didn't realise how good I must have been at other subjects to get 4A* at a shitty school with awful parents 2 years after being expelled from one school.
