My retarded government does everything possible to make it impossible to get rich off crypto and taxes are a nightmare.

I'm just going to be a burden on the system. Go fuck yourselves.

There are going to be a lot of highly pissed off people when they realize they aren’t getting rich that all they’ve been doing is helping cement the system that will keep them poor for the next 1000 years. You should burn it all down while you still have a chance or not there’s plenty more VCs that need prostitute and coke money

Yes, im essentially stuck in crypto because the tax implications will be too messed up.

I've got 10,000s of trades over 8 years, i never recorded them, who the fuck can record 10,000s of transactions? Ive always changed wallets, changed seed phrases, used lots of different CEX's and DEX's.... it's impossible for me to do anything

So basically anything I sell would be treated as 100% taxed, meaning, 0 cost basis, so I'd be paying full taxes.

So basically my portfolio is really 50% less than it actually is, if i was to cash out.

So im forced to remain in crypto forever essentially. This is either a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on what happens in the future. Perhaps all taxes on crypto eventually get removed.

One thing I forgot to mention: I can cash a little bit out, but only what would amount to poverty tier cash outs, which is remaining below the tax threshold for income generated, but that equates to barely minimum wage per year cash outs tax free.

No, its actually what lots of people with $5-10M in crypto or stocks do

They live minimalist lifestyles and cash out just below the tax-free threshold as income and never pay taxes.

Fine. They want to track every transaction? I’ll make their systems choke on it. Ever heard of a tax authority database getting ‘‘accidentally’’ flooded with millions of fake 1099’s from bot-generated wallets? Layer in some maliciously formatted CSV exploits (old-school, but Excel macros still run on government machines), corrupted PDFs with nested payloads, and a script to auto-submit that garbage every 15 minutes, suddenly their ‘‘compliance AI’’ is too busy sorting through fake Kaka trades and rugpull ‘‘losses’’ to bother with real audits.
Oh, and chain-poisoning their address blacklists by spamming tainted UTXO’s from ‘‘known’’ wallets. Let them waste years untangling that mess while we move to disposable ledger forks.
Fuck em. If they want to play forensic accountant, I’ll turn their own tools into a denial-of-service attack.

Ah, a fellow Australian, I see.

My gf is from the Filthypines where CGT is significantly lower. Is it viable at all to transfer everything there to cash out and then bring it back home as fiat? I would probably lose quite a bit in the process of getting it back to Australia, so much that it wouldn't be worth the effort frankly.

>Perhaps all taxes on crypto eventually get removed.
Imo any crypto you receive from others should be taxed (assuming it's above the $600 threshmark or whatever it is), but swapping from token a to token using your own funds shouldn't be taxable. That's like grabbing the $100 in your wallet and swapping it for the 5 $20's in your room but somehow being taxed on it.
