Bitcoin's price is diverging from a real good and converging towards a financial asset. This happens with a lot of things—housing in the US, for example. But yeah bitcoin is being priced by "big money" which is only interested in number go up

I sell it for cash and then use cash to buy things. But it increases my cash from where I started so it’s useful for that.

Why wouldn't you buy things with cash or borrow against it, it's property not a currency so if you buy something with bitcoin you have to pay sales tax and capital gains tax on an asset that is highly likely to be worth more in dollar terms in the future. what are you an idiot?
